The news of Alexi Laiho passing away literally made me speechless. Rest in peace. Even though I haven't listened to Children of Bodom for years, they were an influence for me back when I was 12-15 and several of my friends worshipped them.

Absolutely gutted by it. Had the pleasure of seeing them a couple of times and they was outstanding. Absolutely loved them, was only listening to the Hatebreeder album the other day too.

Yeah Quatermass is great, I liked the TV series too, bought it on blu ray a while back.

The Gorgon is one of hers I've not seen

I dont ever remember it being sung even when virtually every other club did it,the 60s is a bit too early for me to comment on it,there was another post from a Leeds fan suggesting we sang it when we beat them in a cup game,which would put the time around the late 60s,Im sure the orcs were singing it before then

Saw them at Wacken in 2014. Great show for sure. It was a very warm festival that year, and the Bodom moshpit made a lot of dust blow around in the air. I was spitting sand for several days after it.
