Ray Clemence has died. Sad news. Despite his RS connections I always thought he came across as a nice fella

...sad news about Ray Clemence, i always thought he was a blueprint for a goalkeeper with his size, mobility and effortless elegance.

He was a class act for sure. I've thought many times how many more caps would Shilton have had if not for the rotation system with Clemence. Possibly another thirty, maybe forty?
