The former Grandstand presenter was one of the most familiar faces on BBC television from the 1960 to '80s.
Frank Bough used to live in Maidenhead. My two lads went to the same primary school as two of Frank Bough's sons. My lads were called Stephen and David, his two lads were also Stephen and David. My eldest lad played in the school football team as did Boughie's lads. Frank Bough was always at the games. Still see one of his lads regularly as he is President of Maidenhead Rugby Club.

Was his missus ever in possession of your car keys?
Actually I did know his wife, Nesta. For a couple of years I was Chairman of the PTA at the school our kids went to and she was on the PTA Committee. Lovely lady.
