What a fine footballer Peters was, reminds me of my boyhood days and falling in love with football.
Back then football wasn't so accessible, I was rarely allowed to stay up to watch MOTD, so I read a lot of things on football, Peters was a legend back then and filled the pages. I saw England play on tv, so got to see him play , notably against Poland 1973 among other games.
Really was part of this young bucks education, Rip Martin , a football great.

I can only think of the Charlton brothers and Hurst.
It was, just went on line and saw he was captain that night. Some team that a tually, other than Hughes, obviously !.
