I'm not totally sure. I saw them in Summer of 92 at an Amnesia all nighter when they shot the video for Outer Space. Experience wasn't released until September 92 and I thought it was before that, but there's no reference to it through The Prodigy's archive or the Royal Court's, though neither are complete. I would guess it was in 1991 but I couldn't be 100% sure and there's no evidence of that.

November 92 and October 94 were the times the Prodigy performed at the Royal Court. I still have my tickets.

And wasn't that Amnesia the book of love rave at which the promoter Mickey Lynas got married on the stage? I've got a dvd of that and it looked amazing, but sadly I was slightly too young to have been there.

Yes it was that event - listened to The Prodigy set from it on the way home from work. Still get a rush when music reach comes on now. It was an amazing night - 17 and not a care in the world.

I know mate it is not nice mate.

circle of life, i guess...tho' it's always sad when good guys go before their time

Music Reach, Hyperspace and of course Weather Experience are the highlights of their debut. All Liam Howlett's work, of course. The only other prodigy who produced was Leeroy and he left ages ago.

Tho' there's a solid argument Prodigy's mega success internationally was due to Keith's energy as the frontman. Maxim is cool and all that but never really memorable.

I snaffled up pretty much everything The Prodigy released until the fourth album, and TBH, it was down to the direction the music was taking. I preferred the rave stuff to the newer techno-punk stuff, heavily influenced by Keith. But his influence on their profile can’t be underestimated. Around the time of Music For The Jilted Generation, his live performances took them to a whole new level and made them the perfect package. That giant hamster ball thing was insane! Really sad when I read the news - thanks for some great memories growing up Keith.
