well I've heard stuff about the audiences at that time , were you genuinely scared?
I went in there bricking it but it wasn't as scary as the hype,I do remember the bible preachers outside asking you not to go in and handing out leaflets and I also remember St John Ambulance guys at the back of the cinema inside.

Shame, They were exciting times on Merseyside when Red Rum was running the national, I was a young teen at the time and everything seemed to come to a standstill when the race was on.
