RIP Jean Alexander(Hilda Ogden),when I was 16 on a Youth Opportunities Programme with British Telecom,we were laying underground cables in a road up in Southport,it was a freezing,cold day,a good samaritan popped out of one of the houses with a tray of hot drinks and cakes,couldn't believe it when I looked and there was at the time probably the biggest soap star in the country,really lovely lady,Christ is that a bit of a boring post for you or what?

Awful news that the munster rugby coach Anthony Foley has died suddenly in Paris on the morning before a European cup game. Absolute awful news for Irish rugby and just in general.
