Tbf to @peteblue I think he thinks Mourdaunt would win in a ballot of the members. She is not right wing enough for the ERG fanatics so they are trying to derail her campaign before it gets to the membership. Hence the smearing.

Indeed. It may all change over the weekend after the trial by TV, but if Mordaunt is one of the final two she will walk it…..

Yes, she seems popular with the membership. Steady pair of hands rather than Richy Rish. I see Braverman has endorsed Truss for a full on axis of evil.

Rishy will suffer for backstabbing Boris. Latest betting has Mordaunt and Truss as the two favourites to go through. Mordaunt will beat Truss…..

Agree re Rishy. Zahawi & Javid didn’t last long. Rishi the new Gove. Mordaunt the least worst of the other two by some distance.

Their adoption of divisive woke ideology has made them unelectable. Which is a massive shame because they have the opportunity to throw the Tories out and unite the country. Then there is the spineless Lib dems.
The biggest issue with the whole Starmer taking the knee is that it shows him as a very weak and submissive person, and that's something that British people despise. Britain needs a strong leader, not a coward. Not to mention, majority of British people don't support the BLM movement and the fact that British people despise Meghan Markle, goes to tell you everything.

I think this wins jibberish of the day.
British people don't dispise Markle. I can't imagine many have any feelings at all to her to be fair. Just certain sections of the media who have a problem. You know, those right wing papers. Some would say racist sections of the media.
I would like to think your wrong on BLM. Yep, not everyone is getting down on one knee every step they take. But I think the vast majority of people believe in equality, no matter what your skin tone is.
Starmer being weak, taking a knee. Give over. More like a cringe photo op. Nothing more. Can't think anybody thinks anything of it.

As an Irishman living in Germany, I have to say that the current Conservative party strikes me as one big family: the Addams Family.

However shitty this lot are, at least none of them will inspire the type of personality cult Johnson did. Mainly because none of them have a personality.
Whoever wins is toast anyway. For a while, Johnson had the charlatan’s ability to weave his lies and bewitch the ranks of rabid, Tory nutters.

They will be emboldened, enraged and drunk on power, now they have deposed him. Having realised they were being played like fiddles.

The zombies are on the loose and out for blood, only more extreme madness will follow.

A cannibalistic end is inevitable, for the lunatic party.

Unfortunately, there will be more pain for us, until the blood spurts everywhere, in the final, glorious scene.

One of the main problems with Labour adopting woke ideology, is the toxic community that comes along it. Living in their own echo chambers, using bully tactics, naturally pushing normal labour voters away. Then being so surprised when general election day comes and they've lost again. It's like watching an animal being eaten up by a parasitic worm of its own making.

give 'politics live' from yesterday a go 14/July on the iplayer. A lady named Paris Lees was involved with numerous fiery confrontations.
