..But but something something bacon sandwich.

I'm not British, and 35% of the populations of most countries are imbecilic pro-fascist scum, but the UK decided it was far better to basically shoot itself in both feet by leaving the EU, install an entitled Eton supremacist in power, and smash international law a la Putin rather than elect somebody decent who had a minor mishap with a bacon sandwich.

This is the level of discourse we are subjected to now. The people deserve to be subjected to extemist Tory cruelty. And it's only going to get worse when you look at the chamber of horrors lining up to take over. Steve Baker! Suella Braverman! Liz Truss! Alan B'Stard!

God save the Queen. She'll be in the Tower before this lot have finished with you.

I'm not sure your average voter on the street really cares about that

A lot of people today have an "F you, got mine" view on life, which is a symptom of Thatcher killing off society during her time in office

So long as the rubes think they will be ever so slightly better off than anyone they consider to be "beneath" them then they'll vote for it

If Labour wants to win then they're going to need some realistic ways of giving those types of people what they want, as they're the people that swing elections
Then labour have no chance, because it will be decades of hard work that will pay off eventually to right the decades of wrong done by the charlatans and rapists that have run the UK into the ground for a shilling and a pint of someone elses blood. What can you fix Now? Nothing then jog on. Another set of liars big on promises and zero on delivery will waft through, line theirs and their chums pockets and jump ship when the chop comes.
Shame on them all.

We get the country we deserve sadly

The "red wall" have a lot to answer for

Turkeys voting for Christmas so they could get brexit at any cost

Most countries have their difficulties, but my God, at least when the lunatics take power in some countries, the mainstream media recognise them for what they are. In the UK, they are normalised by the BBC, given false equivalence with decent, competent politicians of different hues, and indulged to the point of craven supplication.

As an Irishman living in Germany, I'm sorry to say it but the UK is in a sorrowful state. I'm no nationalist for many reasons, but I always thought the Scots were crazy to pass up the chance of independence in 2014. It was clear where all of this was headed. English nationalists have hijacked the Tory party and taken complete control. These people are, basically, of the same ilk as Orban in Hungary. The new prime minister will, in all likelihood, be even worse than the entitled buffoon Johnson. They'll spend nothing (Johnson was a populist who didn't care what he spent if it meant keeping power) and will face an inevitable trade war with the EU which while painful for the EU will be utterly ruinous for the UK - especially the regions outside London. A shocking state of affairs.

Letting people take time off schools for holidays....

Should try living in one of these red wall areas. Feels like I’m on another planet at times. I’m not talking about older people happy to protect their lot. It’s young people to. And it’s not morons either (although it could be argued they are) it’s professional people like NHS, factory, office workers etc. The support for Johnson is scary and it still exists.
