You watch these vox pops on BBC and Sky and those that have some sort of support for Johnson you'd say 90% of them are of a demographic that fits the Conservative voter.

I guess this demographic won't be around in about 10-15 years. The core Tory supporter quite literally dying off, so that's good I guess.

For some balance, Barbara Cartland's younger brother Ronald was a Tory MP. His first speech in Parliament in 1936 saw him attack Baldwin's government for screwing over the poor, and he further blackened his card when he spent most of his time after that vehemently attacking the policy of appeasement publicly. Backing up his rhetoric he joined the TA in the late 1937, went to France when war was declared, led his unit in helping to protect the Dunkirk evacuation and was shot dead during the retreat. His brother had died fighting the day before. In his last major speech before war was declared he said this (when Chamberlain tried to adjourn the Commons in August 1939):



That was someone who met all seven principles. The current shower are unfit to even be mentioned in the same post as him.

He’s not bothered in the slightest that we’re spiralling towards a political crisis unlike we’ve seen in many years - a government that cannot function.

More so, he's not even bothered that he's likely finishing the Conservative party for a long, long time.
