This will be the same plant pot that ‘refused to go to football matches’ while they were still taking the knee, and was caught staging door to door canvassing in his constituency.

Can we tar & feather the lot of them please?

Prime example of a silly arse out of touch ignorant tory I'm alright Jack pond life. It is people like him and his party's policies which have led to the drastic increase in food banks over the last 12 years.
Tory scum.

Little piggies always follow the money...

The enemy within our dear free market party... Up to their eyeballs in Russian monies.

"The Russian influence over British politics has been discovered by the National Crime Agency - it is illegal to accept sums over £500 from foreigners that are not registered to vote in Britain so, a donation of over £500,000 to Johnson’s campaign is very concerning and needs to be investigated…

Major Donation to U.K. Conservative Party Was Flagged Over Russia Concerns

‘One of the biggest donors to Britain’s Conservative Party is suspected of secretly funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars to the party from a Russian account, according to a bank alert filed to Britain’s national law enforcement agency.

‘The donation, of $630,225, was made in February 2018 in the name of Ehud Sheleg, a wealthy London art dealer who was most recently the Conservative Party’s treasurer. The money was part of a fund-raising blitz that helped propel Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his party to a landslide victory in the 2019 general election.

“We are able to trace a clear line back from this donation to its ultimate source,” Barclays bank wrote in a January 2021 alert to the National Crime Agency. The bank, which maintained some of the accounts used in the transaction, flagged the donation as both suspected money laundering and a potentially illegal campaign donation.

‘It is illegal for political parties to accept donations of more than 500 pounds from foreign citizens who are not registered to vote in Britain. Mr. Kopytov is not listed on the national voter register, records show. It is not clear why the Barclays alert arrived three years after the donation, or whether the authorities had investigated it.

‘Yet when a British opposition lawmaker called for an investigation into Mr. Sheleg’s donations and his “troubling connections” to Russia, the chairman of the Conservative Party at the time said Mr. Sheleg should not need to reveal the source of his wealth and raised the threat of libel.

‘And when Mr. Johnson became prime minister in July 2019, he immediately appointed Mr. Sheleg as the party’s sole treasurer. Mr. Sheleg conceived of and helped create a secret advisory board, later revealed by the Times of London, made up of ultrawealthy Conservative donors. He was knighted soon after".

He may not be alright too much longer.

Jack Monroe was responsible for taking Katie Hopkins to the cleaners

All this get people back to the office is an absolute disgrace.

Get people paying astronomical commuting fees.

Get people buying crap food in high streets.

Get use out of huge white elephant office spaces that corporations want to be able to justify.

No evidence that it will increase productivity. In fact I believe it has been a positive thing for people's pockets and wellbeing.

Johnson saying he'd distracted by cheese just sums him up. Some people actually have the concentration to complete their tasks.

As always I think there is a balance. I don’t like the fact that the Tesco workers, delivery drivers, NHS workers, builders etc etc had to be full front in the fight against Covid. While the better paid, bonused and cosseted white shirt and tie wearing population had a year or two off and now don’t want to go back to work. My daughter was not furloughed and had to work from home throughout, but is now back in work. It was bad enough having two tribes of workers and office bods before Covid, it’s downright insulting for the workers to see the Civil Service suggesting that people can also work from abroad at their holiday homes…..

Aye it’s stupid.

The office is dead. Only reason some places insist on people coming back to work is that either:
A) they have premises they either own or are paying rent for that would now be deemed pretty much useless.
Or B) they have managers who were all brought through fully working in the office and think everyone should do the same.

In 10 years, no one will be working full time in an office. It’s been proven people can work just as effective from home and it is less exploitive and more environmentally friendly. People clinging on are dinosaurs.

Ohhh Pete.

You're also falling for the bait - start a pointless 'war' or division of envy between workers.

You can see what they're up to a mile off.

I'm equally not convinced the mooted 90k reduction in civil servants is quite the money saver it is purported to be. Chuck in redundancy payments and the strong probability of longer term outsourcing to cope...

Another point, based on my experience of a brief (unrewarding) stint in the civil service, is a huge saving can be made by running fewer sites. Not to mention travel between them. I was shocked at the amount spent on train fares to get people in a room. Slashed at a stroke by a zoom / teams meeting.

Pros and cons.

Pros and cons.

One of the few plus points of COVID has been to try and test a new working model and prove that physically attending an office is not a prerequisite for success.

This is an opportunity to change the way we work forever and these prehistoric idiots are maliciously trying to toss this in the bin to benefit them.
