How is Buzzfeed’s story that found HMRC shielding Lycamobile from a French tax probe because they’re Conservative Party donors - having first denied doing so - not bigger news. Are we all now just accepting this country’s turned into a kleptocracy

Why is there a taboo about use of the word “corruption” among the media here as well. Why not call preferential tax treatment for Conservative Party donors what it is. Corruption. If you saw it happening abroad you’d call it corruption, why dance around it here

The BBC needs to stop acting like it’s a passive observer, as if its role is to commentate on politics. It should recognise that as a public service broadcaster it’s an active participant in the political process. For blatant corruption it should be hammering the government.
