I think that England now realises that Boris is a lying toe rag but they have also realised the Kier Starmer is also a lying toe rag. The issue for the English is now “do we now vote for someone who is good at being a lying toe rag or for someone who isn’t soon good at being a lying toe rag”.

Labour could win the next election at a canter if they just got on with addressing the issues people care about and appointed some more open-minded, reasonable MPs to front-bench and leadership positions. The likes of Ashworth, Burgon, Abbott, Rayner, Lammy, Phillips and Starmer just come across so badly that they leave lots of the electorate feeling as if the devil they already know (Johnson and the Tories) is the less awful option.

Hopefully Labour will look to someone like Dan Jarvis as the next leader, rather than Sadiq Khan (who comes across as an utter egomaniac). The political system we have NEEDS a functioning, effective opposition in order for the best outcomes to be realised.

They have to elect Andy Burnham if they want to have any chance. You need an alternative to the sitting government not a pale imitation of it.

I agree, but sadly the rags and Tory donor funding would have him down and typecast as some flat cap wearing, whippet breeding, stout drinking northerner who is going to take the country into a dark ages before you know it.
