Amid all the Cain - Carrie row overnight, I was struck by how most of the commentariat were keen to tell us in a variety how clever Lee / Carrie / Allegra / Munira / Dominic are.

One might almost have forgotten that none of them have ever had a proper job, or that they’ve been all intimately involved in the response to this virus.

Like many constituencies, there is often a local issue that is irrelevant on a national level. Here it is the dualling of the A1. Everyone in this area will know someone who’s died on that road. In 2014 the tories targeted this seat and won with Cameron visiting the area saying that planning would start immediately.
6 years on and nothing has changed or will change for several years at least.

It’s not really showing a lot at all. It looks very fancy, but there’s just absolutely no depth to it. This company has a contract. This person is a director. No explanation of how it’s evidence. Christ, apparently Isle of Man is a power player.

This is the problem with a lot of these attempts to shine light on these contracts, they are so half baked that they hold no water. There is an absolute scandal as we all know, but there’s no extensive, excellent research going on that gives a knock out blow.

Yeah i was reading about the Irish potato famine recently. She’ll be some sort of descendant I imagine.
Her Lib Dem predecessor used to do a kind of mobile drop in service round all the villages. She’s never seen and is just posh and stupid. Doesn’t seem to care about anyone but still gets voted in cos of foreigners

I find it that under the Tories there is plenty of jobs for the boys kind of mindset to the extent that anything that happens leads back to one of them.

Grenfall? MPs wife(?) Involved. Anything set up or contracts rewarded, leads back to a Tory.
