Ironically I’m actually having to take time off at the moment as it’s become a bit much the past 24 months and it’s taken it’s toll a bit... hopefully a little rest will straighten things out and I’ll get back soon.
I can imagine.
I was genuinely angry last time I went with my mate.

I urged him to make a formal complaint, but he never did.

You get the feeling that many are too afraid to “rock the boat” given how trigger happy the DWP are in removing benefits.

I spent a few months on Universal Credit myself a few years back, and that culture of fear seems to be consistent throughout the welfare system.

Fair play for helping those people out!

Boris Johnson - PM absolute shambles.
"The deaths of more than 50 Liverpool football supporters at Hillsborough in 1989 was undeniably a greater tragedy than the single death, however horrible, of Mr Bigley; but that is no excuse for Liverpool’s failure to acknowledge, even to this day, the part played in the disaster by drunken fans at the back of the crowd who mindlessly tried to fight their way into the ground that Saturday afternoon. The police became a convenient scapegoat, and the Sun newspaper a whipping-boy for daring, albeit in a tasteless fashion, to hint at the wider causes of the incident."

Whats that thing about NHS and the Tories.

TRUST
A few key bits from that article:

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are also missing their targets, although health is devolved so NHS decisions are taken by the administrations in those parts of the UK.

Not just a Tory problem, hell its arguably not even a political problem. The issue is the NHS itself, the last thing it needs is more outside interference. Austerity and pay freezes haven’t helped obviously. (Not just within the NHS)

NHS England said hospitals were under pressure, seeing "more older and sicker patients".

A spokesman said, with winter coming, hospitals would be opening extra beds.

But he urged the public to play their part by getting the flu jab and using the 111 phone line and NHS online services "as first port of call for non-emergencies".

There’s the major issue, an aging population, people now starting to ‘not trust’ doctors (anti vaxers, not taking the full course of antibiotics, people going in with absolutely minor symptoms. The whole system needs an objective shakedown free from political bias.

The net money shared is not devolved its just cut by the Westminster government which happens to be Conservative. Take Wales for instance..

And there is good reason why Trump does not want the NHS to be suddenly not not political... Don't be so naive.

The NHS and wider care sector is under enormous pressures not at least staffing which has required many governments purposely recruit from overseas... Yet here we are today listening to Tories accusing Labour of continuing large scale immigration to staff NHS and wider caresector, not political my back side, do as I say not what I do politics.

I’ve sat in more PIP assessments in the past 18 months than I care to remember mate. Honestly, in one the assessor never even averted her eyes from her laptop as she rushed through the assessment.. it’s shocking. Unofficially 65% of claims are refused first time. 80% of them are overturned at appeal. The theory is that they believe people won’t bother going through the appeals process, part of my job is insisting people do and supporting them through the process.
Lo and behold ...it was announced on the news at lunchtime today about claimants having their original decision overturned on appeal... can’t recall the figure quoted but I think it was around the 80% mark ...... truly shocking
