I think we have and we should not be compared to the almost caveman era of incorrect decisions of the past....

And whilst I agree that science has progressed ..... so has the ability to tamper with such evidence. There are too many grey areas which is why personally I could never agree to the death penalty. There’s no way on earth to correct a mistake like that.

It has mate, and probably many times. However with today’s technology, and dna, proof of murder has become somewhat irrefutable. We shouldn’t live by the mistakes of the past......

Capital punishment is the death penalty, the death penalty is being put to your death, being dead... I grew sitting behind a bar while my landlord dad served silly old talk...Heard it all before.

You and I both know the powers that be were happy with their catch and were never going to return a not guilty verdict on that case.... planted evidence ... failure to follow up proper lines of investigation.... that’s nothing to do with caveman technology... that’s out and out inexcusable behaviour from the very top ... and with today’s technology it would make things even easier

I thought the Brexit chat was bad. But advocating for capital punishment?! Jesus. I imagine loosening gun control laws will be next.

Capital punishment is clearly not a deterrent otherwise the US (and other countries with it) would have seen serious drops in their serious crime rate.

Also, you kill one innocent person through capital punishment and you’ve lost already.

@peteblue I’d suggest doing some serious reading on the Innocence Project and come back with how capital punishment is a good thing and that DNA/testing techniques were “caveman”

Jesus, a genuine death penalty supporter. The way you treat others reflects on yourself. There has never been any good evidence for the death penalty, why do you want it?
