Tory peer Baroness Sayeeda Warsi resigns whip after claiming party's 'move to far right' ahead of investigation into her language
The baroness was made a peer in 2007 by David Cameron and served in his first government. She resigned her frontbench role over the government of the day's stance on Gaza, and has since criticised the party's stance on Islamophobia numerous times.
"I am a Conservative and remain so but sadly the current party are far removed from the party I joined and served in cabinet.
"My decision is a reflection of how far right my party has moved and the hypocrisy and double standards in its treatment of different communities.
"A timely reminder of the issues that I raise in my book Muslims Don't Matter."

You would have thought they'd learn that keeping quiet and not making daft policy like this is the sensible approach to getting back into government.
I don't know how much of the side-chats at conferences get covered but I did read somewhere that the horrific Camilla Tominey is hosting a panel discussion today about gender with Miriam Cates involved (in fact Rosie Duffield can pop along now she's resigned the whip and they can all moan about the Trans Woke agenda together).
It's these core issues being thrashed out in the party that will really resonate with voters who just want a country that works.

Weird one Robert jenrick got £75k donation from a ‘fitness company ‘ registered in the Virgin Islands , a company with no employees apparently. When asked by Trevor Phillips his first response was “it’s perfectly legal “ , which feels illustrative . Jenrick also wouldn’t provide any information about the individuals who are behind the company.
Other than the sky interview I’ve seen no reporting of this , now I appreciate it’s not a heinous sin like staying in someone’s house but I feel like outraged of tunbridge wells should be pursuing this like starmers alleged ‘corruption ‘ in the media or in this forum .
