I’m not sure it’s so much their lurch further right that is losing them votes. Outright corruption and incompetence has done for them.

Voting for an Asian PM that ‘backstabbed’ the golden boy is too much for some people as well.

Maybe some Tories have lost the stomach for it all but they still would have voted for Johnson previously.

Probably that people are twigging the culture wars stuff and small boats/Rwanda aren't really addressing the problems folk have.

Those that are raging about that sort of stuff are looking to Reform. I think there's a quiet realisation Brexit was dumb, so that sort of rhetoric or position doesn't cut well.
