Bloody hell, yet another one?

I can completely understand why Labour voters (I will be one) feel betrayed by the party. I understand @Charro’s specific issues based on what the Labour council have (or haven’t ) done in Liverpool.

But I cannot abide by having this Tory government being in power for the next 5 years after what they have done to the country over the past 13 years.

I fully understand people not being a fan of Starmer. But look at the other option. Sunak and his increasingly far right friends in the party. Getting as far away from Braverman’s politics is something we really need to do.

In an ideal world I’d be able to vote for the party that most represents my views and be represented by that in Parliament. But sometimes you have to be realistic rather than idealistic. We don’t have proportional representation.

Another 5 years of this current iteration of the Tories will destroy the country. If they win the next election then the wheels are off.

If you live in a place where you can make a protest vote then fair enough, do it. But voting Green or Lib Dem in a seat that gives the Tories a chance of winning seats and staying in power will hurt you further down the line.

It’s horrible to have to be this pragmatic and I can fully understand people that won’t agree with me. But I would just ask anyone thinking about a protest vote to think what that protest would actually lead to.

Agree completely. You've got the uber left wingers on X etc slamming Starmer and claiming they won't vote for him. All that's doing is handing the keys back to the tories, which will give them the confidence to abuse the country for their own benefit.

No idea why people vote for them, it's genuinely brain rot stuff. Ask @Bruce Wayne @peteblue and @Nymzee why they do it, I'm sure they have a logical explanation.
