Talking about rivers, obviously never heard of them, the useless, incompetent dimwit.

Not apologising for her cos she's hopeless at describing things.
The met office did say that the system that brought the rain was an unusual one for them.
Hence they had less experience in predicting the rainfall it produced than they had for storms from the west.

It depends on what you/she means. Like the met anticipated it at least three days earlier (iirc) than it landed because I watched their Youtube 'deepdive' on their prediction for the tail end (ie what impacted the UK) of that storm, and for a change got it pretty much spot on. Additionally, they used that particular prediction to roll out a beta version of a cumulative rainfall model that they're working on, providing even more information. With climate weirding, you're not going to get better predictions than what they issued. Look at Otis, turned into a Cat 5 storm in 24hrs. What does Jabba want, a seasons notice and pinpoint accuracy?

Spot on. And even with the models being correct giving her plenty of notice. The places that flooded, the Cairngorms, Yorkshire, Pennines etc can still get pretty rainy! York floods all the time.

Well yeah, BJ hid in a bunker a couple of years ago when the N.East got flooded, emerged and promised sunshine and rainbows, There's that clip where he got heckled by a boomer and got told to koff back to London when he eventually turned up late and dishevelled for a photo-op (iirc).

Forget homes and the people that lived in them, that's all boring and for someone else to account for, what the pressing issue is here is as follows, this rain from the wrong way and the spring tides, what effect will these weather occurrences have on our ability to grow tomatoes and turnips?
