What shocks me more to be honest is the stance the tories are taking after every bi election humiliation… it’s total denial of the reality of their standing … I was listening to one Tory mp on the radio earlier today who’s response was “yes we lost the seat, but it’ll be different when faced with Rishi in a general election” … just totally in denial to the current mood across the country
In fairness, he's hardly going to say "We're doomed, DOOMED I TELL YOU!!!"

The language is telling from Mogg in the Hiel!
From outset, Mogg states that the Tories are "in a torpor not seen since Henry the Sixth was in a catatonic stupor, unable to speak or govern for 18 months in the 15th century."
He speaks not like an elected representative, there to serve voters' by consent, indeed more with born to rule entitlement. As though a monarch rather than MP. A member of the "natural party of government."
Mogg then lists policy directions he considers imperative for the Tories to regain their electoral swagger, many of which would he would conveniently benefit from.
Quelle surprise. This is a man, after all, who knowingly raped the country via Brexit for personal gain. The notion that he's interested in public service is not only ludicrous but offensive.
