Do you have any idea of the practicalities of a 2 metre rule in a pub. Basically one person sat at each table and each table moved or removed from each other. Then you could shout at the bar staff who would put your beer down, move 2 meters backwards while you pick it up. Unfortunately some of us had to live in the real world….

I’d have had the 2 meter thing all day if it meant everything stayed open and we could all see our families.

Didn’t you see the video of the tories real world earlier - partying, dancing, mixing together with work mates, while you and the rest of us were doing everything we could to follow the rules they put in that they thought were so useless they broke them at every turn?

As for any good that they have done - there isn’t one thing - like is said before, it’s Stockholm syndrome or it’s just that you can’t bear to admit you’ve been had and you were/are wrong, so are doubling down on the absolute shabite that they’ve delivered.

Then came eat out to mess up and the stamp duty holiday which helped send the property market into hyperdrive. 2/4 ain't bad Rish. Frpm Boris - Levelling up in principle is fine, but it was an absolute dogs dinner in it's limited application. Not too different from Osborne's Northern Powerhouse Schtick.

Country is in the doldrums. Change is needed. I think the Tories have run out of ideas and what they have tried just has not worked.

The question is whether Labour, in their current incarnation, have anything markedly different to offer. Or would be able to in the current economic climate. Like it or not Corbynism was an offer of a different direction. With Starmer's Labour I feel what we will get is Blairism 2.0 but much less drama and infighting than what the Tories offer. But big ideas or drive? Not sure.

We need the GOT party to sort out the country. Who wants what Ministerial role? Bagsy Minister for wasting time on the internet.

Let me put it another way. Our pub was closed, bills still arrived, our staff would have had no wages and the pub would have closed. Instead our staff got paid and lived their lives, the pub managed to pay its bills and eventually open. The staff then came back to paid employment and unlike many pubs, ours opened up again for the benefit of the community. If you think this was not worth doing then you are a selfish idiot…..

Let me put it another way.

LOADS of pubs went out of business! I know that, as I was a gigging semi-pro musician at the time (as you probably know), and when venues were able to open again, a lot of them in the area had closed down.

So you were one of the lucky ones that survived. Go dance around a Tory bonfire to celebrate your survival...
