Its never stopped some people being collaborators. It's why we have such words. It's normally driven by greed, self-preservation self interest, and even hate of their fellow minority, are the main reasons for the actions these individuals take to be collaborative.

It’s all very sad though. We have major problems to deal with and all we are getting from government and the opposition is yah boo politics over trivia and an out of control civil service stirring the pot…..
Deflecting the blame of failed governance onto the civil service is becoming more common I’ve noticed.
When we left the eu one of the primary reasons was for increased accountability. That doesn’t work when you don’t like what you hear so choose to direct blame elsewhere.

Tory government and party have seen the writing on the wall in local elections, and have no real interest in sound all in governance. Its lurched to the right socially scrambling for votes yet maintaining a libertarian policy on immigration and is failing because at last the poorly political educated are not having their cake they were promised and are seeing through the lies by learnt experience. So infighting will continue until blame is portioned out.
Allowing private companies to make it impossible for the average joe to have savings, allowing housing to fall way behind needs and prevent first time buyers having any hope, attacking unions and doing their best to prevent anyone ever having a company pension, again in the name of private profit.
These villains have ensured that due to greed, as technology increases living standards go down. It doesn't need to be this way.

Tories being useless and the immigration system being broken are not mutually exclusive.
Having more immigrants is a good thing. The free market aspect of conservatism probably gets that, but the social conservative aspect has to portray immigrants as the devil.
This doesn't help either. Labour are bloody useless.

Not even Ed Davey agrees to this these days, was on LBC the other day, agreeing that immigration was undercutting the lower end of employee market and it had to end.
