It's not to do with age. It's wealth and homeownership. You really do not understand how life pans out do you. Yes the Tory people die off. That’s because after the age of 35-40 people grow up and become Tories if they weren’t already, so older, more experienced and wiser people become Tories…then we die off…but still remain the majority…….
Nice dip in the local river or sea in coming summer should be enough to finish them off. What better way to go with mouthful of their own faeces, British Conservatism at its finest.Fingers crossed there's a particularly cold winter to thin the deluded Tory voters out.
This will never happen. If this was true, conservatism would have died off a long time ago. It hasn't. For every 80-something tory voter that dies, a 40-something voter switches from Labour to the Conservatives.
With age comes wisdom, experience and responsibility. This usually overrides youthful, naive ideology.

I agree with this point that generally older people views change and this does reflect a change in their political view. However, the millennials are the first generation in history that are worse off than their parents (money, home ownership, debt). The gen Z's coming up behind us - even worse. That'll leave a lasting legacy and confirms the short-termism of the conservative party over the past decade. You really do not understand how life pans out do you. Yes the Tory people die off. I’ve mention this before, but have got further left wing the older I’ve got.You really do not understand how life pans out do you. Yes the Tory people die off. This is an interesting point and definitely holds some truth. However, having spent considerable time down south (outside London) I can tell you that Conservatism is the only option for most of the folk down there. It's a deep-seated and generational thing. A lot of them display an unhealthy and illogical disregard for Northern people. The usual stereotypes of wastrels, connivers, and leeches were descriptions I would come across in conversations quite a few times. Some of them even had the brass neck to do it to my face not understanding the offense it would cause. These types for the most part will always vote blue and there are millions of them down there. It always flabbergasts me therefore when Northerners (especially the red wall) vote Tory! It was an odd situation for me because I like all types of folks. I prefer to see the good in people. Maybe that's a bad thing, I dunno! If somehow the SNP vote can be replaced by a labour vote in Scotland then maybe Labour has a chance. Conservatism in the traditional sense doesn't sit well with modern UK. We need a different, less antiquated approach going forward if we are to be more united people.I agree with this point that generally older people views change and this does reflect a change in their political view. This circle of life is coming to an end.
It appears to be regressing though, 'generation tate' for instance.I agree with this point that generally older people views change and this does reflect a change in their political view. I’ve mention this before, but have got further left wing the older I’ve got.
Remember that a lot of the older Tory voters will talk about the chaos of the 70s and many did well for themselves in the 80s.
Newer generations don’t have these associations so much which is part of the reason why the party has been more willing to lean towards right wing populist rhetoric to try and remain relevant.
Fixed that for youThis will never happen. If this was true, conservatism would have died off a long time ago. It hasn't. For every 80-something tory voter that dies, a 40-something voter switches from Labour to the Conservatives.
With age comes selfishness, racism and resentment. This usually overrides youthful, naive ideology.
0nce again the''chaos of the 70s'' is mentioned.I’ve mention this before, but have got further left wing the older I’ve got.

I don’t disagree but it’s a phrase rolled out by Tory voters all the time0nce again the''chaos of the 70s'' is mentioned.
Let nobody forget that the first miner's strike, the 3 day week, the petrol rationing, the electricity outages, etc. During 1973/4 Took place under a Heath Tory government.
They're constantly reminded about the winter of discontent under the later Callaghan labour government.
So, it's about time anti Tory voters put them right.I don’t disagree but it’s a phrase rolled out by Tory voters all the time
Please tell all wise Torieslol, and solve this math riddle, if we have 20,000 police persons and then get rid of 20,000 persons and then rehire 20,000 police persons, how many extra police persons do we have?
Priti Patel says hiI think these kind of riddles should be directed towards Dianne Abbot... previous Shadow Home Secretary. She had a good grasp on policing numbers...
That was sarcasm... If needed, I can post a link, or two, or many...
