Its astonishing that those 2 things, that do not in any way equate to unlimited free movement, are pushed as such by the Conservatives because they are so out of step here.

Theres actually quite a lot of practical things that can be done to reduce the boat journeys, but they would rather stamp their feet and shout inane cliches than do them.

They don’t want to try and help the situation because then it takes away one of their fall backs when other things go wrong. It would be like Chesney Hawkes turning up to a gig and not being able to sing “The One and Only” when the crowd start to boo.
