Both excellent but OK Computer came out and smashed the whole Britpop world apart.

Look at Blur and Oasis, that album destroyed them, musicially. The 4 piece has never been the same and raised the bar which only The Strokes, Libertines and Coldplay have come near.

Mansun's Six beat Ok Computer only a year later.

Can't really rank and rate albums, but Six is one of of my favourite albums (and seems to be underrated and relatively unknown, at least in my part of the world). That and these two Radiohead albums (esp OK Computer) are among 20 or 30 that I always go back to.

Yeah, some great works never get that known or appreciated. The title song, Cancer, Shotgun, Television and the extended Being A Girl for me rank among the finest progressive rock music I've ever heard. It's a shame their next (and final) album was much more modest in ambition.
