Yeah watched him for Netherlands and feyenord, suits rm's philosophy quite a bit, and great physical attributesProbably because Baines is our best player, even when he's not playing his best he is still quality most weeks.
Have you watched Martins Indi much mate? I doubt it, hes not that great imo.
Baines wont fetch anywhere near his worth to us anyway, not like a team will pay £20m+ at his age.
There is no 'situation'. You need to have multiple good players in positions, that's the only way you can hope to compete in Europe and domestically.
Just because Oviedo is on the bench doesn't mean we need to move Baines or sell one of them.
I've said it before, since we DID play even better with oviedo, who is younger and could give 10 years to the club, why not sell baines to provide great funds for summer, and buy a left sided cb for example martins indi who can cover there and let garbutt play Europa. And we would have good money left for other positions. Strong view I know but it could be best thing, look at mata for example with chelsea when he got sold
Fair point but just having 2 good left backs will be awkward when it's money we need for that striker really, I mean I bet 90% chelsea fans were thinking what is mourinho doing when he was selling their player of the season the last 2 seasons but other players fitted what mourinho wanted better so he sold him, and oviedo looked better for me but it was only a few games so hard to judge accurately, wether we keep or sell him it's a win win situationSo we repay a players loyalty by selling him ... Works both ways the lads utter class and his attitude to whole transfer saga was immense someone the other players will look upto you don't sell them type of players
