So who are you taking to replace Wood, Archer, Woakes and now Stokes? I’d have maybe taken Rehan Ahmed as a spin option given he can bat but he’s young and might have been chewed out. Also doesn’t solve the seamer/fast option.

Of course they are going to talk themselves up in the lead up. I agree the preparation was very poor but it’s not like this doesn’t happen often. I was in Australia in 2017/18 and we got absolutely hammered. 2021 wasn’t much better.

It’s been an awful tour but I think there has also been a massive overreaction to it.
