Kev desperate for rain here to salvage his tattered rep
Nope, I said I thought England would win this, and they would but the rain has scuppered it obviously

But thats going to be 8 consecutive years of the Ashes being held by the Aussies now. Shameful indictment.

There’s a window today where we could get some play in and tomorrow looks a bit more promising.

You don’t really understand the game so think we need two full days to win.

We dont, we just need a few hours which we will hopefully get.

TBH I have just been looking at the betting markets which suggests we have 2 chances, slim and none.

Obviously you know more than they do though.

Sadly , I'm forced to agree with Kev on this one.

A "normal " weather forecast or one which even gave us just 2 sessions of play in the final 2 days would result in an England win 9 times out of 10.

But as I'm sat here 25 miles or so from OT with the rain absolutely lashing down and looking at the forecast for the next 2 days I'd say there is precious little chance of enough play to take 6 more wickets.

That's a shame because England are clearly the better team and have been utterly ruthless and dominant.

I wouldn’t want to be one of the umpires … England would be happy to go out on a wet outfield, Australia wouldn’t want to go out in bright sunshine
