I think Atherton made a great point about why not to move Stokes. Stokes loves to be right in the thick of the action and where he comes in, its usually when we are right in the crap and that's where he excells.

What we could do with is one of the openers sticking it out for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Duckett and Crawley massively flatter to deceive as openers.

Nah, if players are batting well in their positions you don't move them, you replace the poor ones, as Brooks showed. Bairstow at 3 isn't ideal but would be one of the better ideas. Foakes can bat, this notion he's almost a tailender is strange take from some out there.

True but he's worth his place as captain let alone as a specialist batsman.

I dont think so, i think a batsman at 6 is perfectly reasonable and England showed they didn't need the extra bowler when Robinson was injured.

OT and the Oval are back to back as well, only 4 days between. Maybe Tongue and Anderson in for Robinson and Wood. Keep Wood fresh for the Oval which will undoubtedly be set up to last all 15 sessions to secure the cash.
