Where's Mark Wood? Is he injured? I'd have him in instead of ball. Got some genuine pace.

Mark Wood told he could play in Ashes if injury recovers at same rate
Nick Hoult, Cricket News Correspondent.
Mark Wood has been told he could still play in the Ashes series by the England management if he continues his recovery from his latest injury problem.
Wood has been dogged by ankle injuries throughout his career and had hoped this year would be his breakthrough with a settled run in the side. But a heel problem flared up in the summer forcing him into another long lay off. In a bid to correct the problem he has turned to alternative therapies having sugar injections in his ankle which he hopes will improve movement in the joint so he will no longer have to play wearing strapping.
“I’m getting there. I’d say at the end of the county championship season against Worcester I felt pretty good but obviously it was a bit too late for selection. I’ve had a series of injections, sugar injections which sounds a bit bizarre but the sort of thing they said would work long term,” he said at the Gabba. “I had meetings with Strauss, Bayliss, James Whitaker at the end of the season when you have your appraisal. They said that if I got my body right I’d be in a position still to have an impact in the series.
“It was tough yesterday seeing all the lads preparing and I was with the Lions lads, nice to see everyone but hard to be on the edge of things and not amongst it. It is obviously a huge occasion for everyone here. I’m still hoping that at some point I might be part of it, it is a long series. If there is an injury, I’m hoping to be raring to go."

Despite all his injury problems Wood remains committed to Test cricket. “No, never. This is the ultimate,” he said when asked if he had considered giving up red ball cricket to pursue a career as a Twenty20 specialist which would be easier on his body. He sounded frustrated an England selector was not present at Worcester for the final game of the season when he felt he bowled well but it was too late to be considered for Ashes selection. England had already moved on to players with a more certain injury record.
But his pace is something England would love to unleash in Australia this winter and it would not be a surprise if he was added to the squad for the Boxing Day and Sydney Tests. “That would be a pretty good dream,” he said.
Wood has spoken in the past of his fears his career would be ended by injury and he honestly admitted again yesterday he has struggled at times in recent months with the psychological impact of another spell out of the game.
“I do find it difficult, it’s hard, I’ve done a lot of work with the England psychologist. There are times when I thought I wouldn’t get back to playing for England and then, when I do get back, I wanted to stay there. So it has been immensely frustrating. Every operation I had, I came back thinking it was mighty tough with the rehab but this last year I found more mentally hard than anything being in a battle with myself. I’ve always been a free-spirited sort of guy, just run in bowled, but this year I had more on my mind to think about.”
