So is it safe to assume that you’re on board with everyone who owns a firearm first being required to obtain a license to operate/own it, register it with their state, submit to annual inspections to verify it is safe, purchase liability insurance on each gun in the event that they cause injury to another citizen, and be subject to the forfeiture privilege to own them if they prove to be an irresponsible owner, just like I do with my car?

I am a man enough to live and die by my words. If I lose a loved one to gun violence, I would accept it for what it is.
