You’re right that your point isn’t a hypothesis, it’s outright bulls*it. Every credible study that has ever been done indicates owning a gun makes the owner LESS safe. You’re far more likely to either use the gun on yourself, or have it used on you than you ever are to use it in self defense.

As to your last sentence, you’re damn right. “Eight year olds being slaughtered at school is just the cost of doing business” is a perspective I don’t want to, and refuse to believe in.

Heres a few examples.

The Romans, the Vikings and Great Britain.

Just 3 "nations" that managed to control the whole world despite the people having access to the same weapons they had.

Even with guns, people can not defeat armies.

I'm sure you'll be able to give me chapter and verse on the gun laws in every country Hitler invaded. I mean obviously you would, or you wouldn't make the claim, would you?

Can you link me to these studies, please?

And how would 6 million jews across Europe have stood up to the luftwaffe, panzer corps and SS?
