You can reckon all you like but you cannot know. You can propose what the "right" thing to do was but it is irrelevant. A black man on foot chased by white men in trucks, especially in the southern part of the United States, is a situation you likely cannot fully appreciate.

The man tried to mind his own business and continue his jog. Absolutely nothing wrong or incorrect in this decision. When he could not get away and the men who initially said they wanted "to talk" to him brandished weapons, it's not difficult to understand Arbery's decision.

Some people lie down and take it when in fear for their lives. Others fight for it.

Disagreeing with his decision and suggesting Arbery should have done otherwise is quite simply victim blaming.

i`m sure you`ve seen the video of Arbery walking down the street and going into a property under construction. i wouldn`t call this `minding his own business out jogging` i think this is the reason he ran away or as you put it `he was being chased`. i think the situation escalated because Arbery was on probation and he was looking to evade any consequences.
`victim blaming` ?? this propagandist rhetoric is becoming all too prevalent in society today. it takes away all responsibility from the individual.
on the first point you raised. - maybe as you say `i cannot know` but in all probability if you lunge at someone with a gun its not going to end well for you.

i haven`t heard much of their defence other than Arberys` previous convictions not being admissible and one or two other bits but i think they murdered him and should serve their sentence

I don’t see how calling someone out for mitigating the actions of racist white men killing a unarmed guy can be deemed as race baiting tbh.

I am going to make one last attempt to try and make you see how incomprehensibly thick you are. I expect it will be met with a similarly gormless response as this one here, but I'll try and spell it out as simply and clearly as I can.

He was being chased in vehicles by men armed with guns. He's unarmed, on foot and has no idea why they are after him and it's happening in a country where gun murders are insanely frequent. Most normal people would ask questions like

• Why are those men chasing him at all?
• Why do they have guns?
• Why did they shoot him?
• Why does this happen so much in our country?

1/ they chased after Arbery because he was seen entering a property under-construction
2/ they had guns because after numerous break-ins and a gun having been stolen in one of those burglaries, the suspect who was similar in appearance to Arbery was seen and reported entering a property.
3/ Arbery was confronted by the guy with the gun and was shot after he lunged at him
4/ $--- happens
