Arbery was unarmed. he was being chased down the street, saying inflammatory words like `hunted` leans towards sensationalism. he tried to grab the gun from the guy which is never going to end well, i just don`t understand why Arbery would tackle someone with a gun.

Yeah you're right mate, him getting shot was his fault for trying to defend himself and not the 3 armed yahoos chasing him down the street in their vehicles. Thankfully the justice system disagrees with your version of it and put him away for 30 years

I think you can’t say how you’d react in that situation. Weird you seem more concerned with this than the (proven) racist guys chasing down a random jogger and killing him in broad daylight.

For someone who’s so concerned about news coverage, would also query why nothing was going to happen and it didn’t make national news until the vid went viral.

those convicted guys were/are racists. what do you think i should post, the bleeding obvious? i`m not trying to defend them, i`m asking why someone would think its a good idea to grapple with a guy holding a gun.

Because he was on foot and they were in vehicles, thereby taking the flight option and leaving him with fight.

You don’t know that. The guy was blocked off from escape. Is an extremely disturbing case and you are trying to victim blame.

thanks for the answer but i happen to disagree. because he was on foot and they were in vehicles, i think the thing to do would be to go up the drive-way of one of the houses, he chose otherwise and i`m questioning why he would run at someone with a gun.

You can reckon all you like but you cannot know. You can propose what the "right" thing to do was but it is irrelevant. A black man on foot chased by white men in trucks, especially in the southern part of the United States, is a situation you likely cannot fully appreciate.

The man tried to mind his own business and continue his jog. Absolutely nothing wrong or incorrect in this decision. When he could not get away and the men who initially said they wanted "to talk" to him brandished weapons, it's not difficult to understand Arbery's decision.

Some people lie down and take it when in fear for their lives. Others fight for it.

Disagreeing with his decision and suggesting Arbery should have done otherwise is quite simply victim blaming.

He was being chased in vehicles by men armed with guns. He's unarmed, on foot and has no idea why they are after him and it's happening in a country where gun murders are insanely frequent. Most normal people would ask questions like

• Why are those men chasing him at all?
• Why do they have guns?
• Why did they shoot him?
• Why does this happen so much in our country?

They ask questions like this because the entire situation is so obscene and needless to begin with that it really defies belief. But here's Oddball, the creepy little twerp from GOT who simply needs to know why he made a grab for one of the guns of the men who was chasing him and cornering him.

Ignoring the fact that absolutely nobody could say what they would do in the same situation, and couldn't possibly say they wouldn't have shot him had he not made a grab for one of the weapons they chased him with, all focus is rightfully on the 3 bozos who chased an innocent young man down in vehicles and senselessly murdered him, because they engineered this situation. They took a young man's future away and ruined the lives of his family. Arbery's response was a desperate attempt at survival in a terrifying situation you couldn't possibly comprehend and will never experience.

Of course, if he had gone up the driveway of one of the houses and still got shot, you would ask something like "why did he go down that dead end and leave himself no room to escape?", because your brain will always move the goalposts on these things to protect you from the reality of your own profound stupidity. It's happened time and time again on this forum, and combined with your notable history of posts about black people, I suspect that your brain will always be depressingly successful in this endeavour.
