Of course there are now people going out to shoot him.

Not the police, other licensed lunatics with guns

'MURICA!
And there will be supporters of the gunman.. lunatics themselves who are all armed obviously... who will come out to protect him from the gun toting lunatics who are after him .... and it goes on and on until the thick inbreds realise that they are just killing each other for no reason whatsoever... except to protect something about bears arms from a few hundred years ago.

The right to bear arms shouldnt include assault rifles that fire off ridiculous amounts of rounds in minutes - why is that a right? Who, apart from the military needs that much ammunition? A standard handgun would still enable people to defend themselves, without enabling people to commit mass murders.

Surely a ban on particular guns isnt infringing anyones rights.

Adopted in 1791 and reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Just after the War of Independence and with the War of 1812 yet to come, meaning the threat from a foreign (read British) military was very real. No longer applies today and the amendment's current supporters tend to drop the first 13 words for convenience.

I know what it is, im saying that its not infringing anyones right to bear arms by denying them military grade assault rifles that were never designed for civilian use anyway. You are not denying them handguns, rifles, shotguns etc so therefore not violating the second amemdment.

They passed a bill before banning particular assault weapons, which expired in 2004. They need to rework it, make it stricter and push it through again.

It also applied at a time when the arms were muskets and single shot pistols - not hundreds of rounds in minutes.
