Now that I have been exposed to him, it is clear that Tate has 'daddy issues'.

Those that preach toxic masculinity, as he does, need to feel that they are in control to counterbalance clinically treatable behaviours/insecurities. These sorts tend to seek out emotionally immature males, those that come from a background of social/familial issues (parental or sibling clashing and/or toxic personalities, poor communication, heavy pressure from parents, different parenting styles etc.) or certain mental health issues. That he has monotised this is deeply concerning!

Females that accept these sort of behaviours tend to have low self esteem and find themselves in what is ultumately a very destructive cycle of abuse and emotional manipulation (breadcrumbing).
Social media misses the point when referring to 'alpha males' and 'beta males'. This model would have been applicable to our evolutionary ape ancestors as it is with modern apes, but humans exist in mutliple social circles, with increased intelligence identifying social expectations. If you want to be in a world of alpha and beta males and you make the top of your troop, you will be there for a finite time until another male kills you or beats you to the point that you have to leave your social circle. It doesn't apply to us and especially not that fat hooters guy who thinks drinking black coffee is 'hard'.

For modern males a better scale to use would be gentlemen and ruffians. Toxic masculinity being a trait of a ruffian, who tend to be the types that would be pimps, would raise a hand to a woman, are bullying and other unnaceptable mysogonystic behaviours as well as criminality.

So Tate is a ruffian and conman who without treatment will be a damaging to force to those around him and those that seek comfort in the manifestation of his insecurities.

Avoid at all costs.
