Just noticed the chair is a Fox News *journalist*.

"The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic."

Is he going to be a problem?

Chris Wallace of Fox News, released a list of six general subject areas.
They are:
  1. The Trump and Biden Records
  2. The Supreme Court
  3. Covid-19
  4. The Economy
  5. Race and Violence in our Cities
  6. The Integrity of the Election
Wish they'd start off with 5!!

Trump will tell a myriad of lies, Biden will make an unforced error, and the media like the trained dogs they are will take the lowest hanging fruit and focus on Biden's error.

That's my prediction. My fear is that Biden's weakness as a candidate will be exposed tonight - perhaps not dramatically, but enough to tighten the polls. I just don't think he's going to enthuse anyone, and people being anti-Trump will only go so far.

Wallace despite working for Fox and praising Trump a lot of the time as part of his job is fully aware Trump is a clown. He did the infamous 'person, woman, man, camera, tv' interiew with Trump and was dealing out a fair bit of shade to him.

I’m honestly not worried about him moderating it. He is probably the closest thing to a legit journalist to work at Fox News, he moderated one of the debates in 2016 and is one of only a handful of people to really try to hold Trump’s feet to fire in an interview since he was elected.

I know nothing about America politics.
But I will watch this tonight.

I think Trump runs the arl fella all over the gaff and wins it.

Are American political debates something is actually available on British tv, or do you guys just have to find it online if you want to watch?

I'm staying up to watch it. But I'm not really sure why as I don't think this debate will have any real influence on the result. I think the vast majority have already made their minds up.

I don't think Trump can lose anything tonight but there is a chance Biden could. Hope I'm wrong
