I go back and forth on this.

Given many Trumpers belief in a "silent majority" will a landslide further the belief of voter fraud? I think a landslide would be more likely to keep it out of the courts though - especially if the Biden lead/win is conclusive by in person votes.

We are way over the rainbow with respect to the country being on the mend with a landslide Biden victory. It will certainly rile up his base and make them hate everything even more. That's not going to change anytime soon. Decades. I'm a big pessimist when it comes to this - we are going to live in a divided country as long as a large minority of people get their news from Fox and shudder at the thought of moving the country forward.

However, we can only control what we can control. And a landslide means it's less likely the courts or anything else can steal the election.

That's what's important short term.

I dunno. I think there's a good chance the Right (and particularly the "establishment" Right) will drop him like a hot, particularly misshapen potato if he loses on Tuesday.

I can't wait for that to happen because they have only support him because of their own sinister motives and desires to pack the courts with far right Judges. If he looses though, he will not longer be useful to them and hopefully they will flush him down the toilet like any bad waste.

Aye. I veer from complete confidence that Biden win to resignation that Trump will somehow stay in. It's probably down to my lack of real comprehension of the electoral college system. I know most Americans want to boot the arsehole but that that's just not how their system works

Plenty of times in history that the election result has not been known on election night, especially prior to modern transport/communication. Surely not counting all the legal ballots is far more likely to give rise to concerns about election integrity, especially when the delays in the mail ballots have a political aspect to them?

Kavanaugh argued the opposite when it worked in Bush's favour in 2000.
