It's really tough for football in Wigan sadly

It's a rugby town and the rugby people don't want football infringing on their turf

As you enter Wigan it has SUPER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! on the welcome sign and then fa cup winners, at the bottom

More United and city fans in Wigan than Wigan fans, alot of Liverpool and everton supporters too

I was just watching highlights of England v Croatia from 2007 and was wondering what had happened to Scott Carson.

So this match hasn't been a complete waste of time.

They can never fill their stadium, don't deserve promotion, should be in the same league as Fulham. I actually want Wigan to win because they're a local team but come on! Their support makes me shake my head.

why's everyone so obsessed with attendances?

everyone says it's a fairytale when a lower league/non league team causes a massive FA Cup shock, why should it be any different for getting into the prem? it's romantic when a small team who's never been in the top league ever/for decades get there. swansea sell out every week, but they only get 20,000. yet a team with a 30,000 seater stadium who only sell out 22,000 don't deserve to be there?

Good point but they can't even sell out an away allocation. Their priorities are obviously rugby union or whatever it's called

only us and WHU sold out every away last season, so every team has them.

valencia brought about 20 fans to swansea this season - suppose it's a different country like, but they're a very big club like.

Don't forget your space suit. More atmosphere on the moon. I've seen Palace and Everton there.

You weren't wrong, it was dire. When they get a set piece they all just shout OOOH in tandem for ten seconds and they were led out by two six foot pokemon like mascots that proceeded to dance across the pitch.

I am never going there again unless it is to watch Everton.

Not a great game either!
