Statistically borini was the 23rd best striker in Serie A last season.

Possibly the most annoying one so far...

Debuchy to Newcastle

He'd be perfect for us.

Doing my head in now this summer.

SSN saying AC Milan will be back in for Tevez:

AC Milan are set to renew their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, Sky Sports understands.

In one of the true sagas of last season, Tevez spent most of the campaign on the sidelines after his public falling out with coach Roberto Mancini.
Milan tried and failed to sign him in January, before he returned to the City squad and helped them to their maiden Premier League title.

But now, with Milan ready to cash in close to £50million with the sale of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris St Germain, they are ready to come back for Tevez.

Tevez has insisted he is happy at the Etihad, but City want to bolster their striking options and would consider selling the Argentine.

Whilst Milan have the 28-year-old as their top target they could turn their attention to Tevez's team-mate Edin Dzeko, should they fail to land the South American.

Looks like PSG's money could be making it's way around Europe over the next few weeks

Ibra + Silva - PSG
Tevez - AC
RvP - City
Someone expensive and french - Arsenal

Sheffield United have announced that Manchester United starlet John Cofie is to spend the 2012/13 campaign at Bramall Lane on a season-long loan.

Sky Sports revealed on Monday that the teenager was set to link up with the Blades.

The 19-year-old striker becomes Danny Wilson's first signing of the summer.

Cofie spent last season picking up valuable experience in Belgium with Royal Antwerp and will be hoping to be given plenty of opportunities to impress in League One.

He was born in Ghana but also qualifies to play for Germany and England, and has been a regular feature for the Three Lions at youth level.

Analfield exit for Maxi
Argentine winger heads home to sign for Newell's Old Boys

The Red Shiite have announced that Maxi Rodriguez has left the club and returned to his native South America to re-sign for Newell's Old Boys.

The 31-year-old forward has headed back to his homeland after deciding against prolonging his stay in England.

Maxi arrived at Analfield from Atletico Madrid in January 2010 and made 73 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals.

His hard-working approach to the game and keen eye for goal made him a favourite among the RS faithful.

He was, however, unable to hold down a regular starting role and grew increasingly frustrated at a lack of opportunities.

It was expected that he would be on the move this summer, even after Brenda Rodgers replaced Kenny Dogleash in the Reds hot-seat.

Brenda had expressed a desire to keep Maxi on Merseyside, but was always aware that a return to Argentina would appeal to the experienced winger.

Maxi has re-joined Newell's, the club that helped him to launch a successful career, after 10 years in Europe - during which time he has turned out for Espanyol, Atletico and the Shiite.
"The Shiite can today confirm that Maxi Rodriguez has joined Newell's Old Boys in Argentina," read a statement released on the club's official website.

"Everyone at The Shiite would like to thank Maxi for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future."

I'll be glad if the RS continue to let pests such as Kuyt, Maxi and hopefully Bellamy leave cheaply and replace them with unproven youngsters.

Borini seems to have talent but he's had an odd career to date. They're not saying how much, but it looks like Roma acquired the remaining 50% stake in him for about £4m only a few weeks ago. The BBC think the deal could be worth £11m. Obviously Rodgers knows the lad well but I'd have thought that they'd want someone with experience to help develop the spine of the side. Will his capture be enough to prevent Reina, Skrtel and Saurez from pondering their future?

Sh*te fans seem confused as to why he's been let go and why indeed he wasn't playing over Downing/Henderson. Kinda glad he's gone tbh, might have been good for them given a real chance.

He always seemed to play well when given the opportunity. He was always a danger out wide and in front of goal for them. And he has a far better return than Downing.

Clyne in talks with Southampton. Southampton! FFS.:@
Adopts Skeletor voice and shouts at Moyes and Kenwright....."GET HIM YOU FOOLS!!"

towards the end he used to come on and slot. Didn't he get two hattricks the other season?
