i reckon they could both be going, but they have so many good fringe players which they could get decent money for it's unreal. chelsea will surely be challenging man city the hardest for the title. Never count out united, but i reckon they'll be finishing 3rd this season
Deadwood= Gomes, Jenas, Dos Santos, Bassong, Bentley and Pienaar. They might get about £3m each for Dos Santos, Bassong and Pienaar. But they might have to just release the others to get them off the wage bill. If they're likely to be spending £23m on Sigurdsson, Vertonghen and Adebayor, they'll need to sell another £14m of talent just to break even. Sigurdsson is most like Van der Vaart, so you'd think that he would be more likely to be the one sacrificed than Modric.
Chelsea seem to be stockpiling players rather than building a side. Why do they need Schurrle when they have Mata, Sturridge, Hazard, Marin and De Bruyne already? It could take time for so many new forwards to gel, especially as they still don't know how to get the best out of Torres and they need to find a system to accommodate Lampard, Mereiles, Ramires, Mikel and Essien in midfield. It's one thing for Matteo to weather the storm as a caretaker manager, but can he mould a team himself and get the best out of them on a weekly basis?
United are always there or there abouts. Vidic returning will be a big boost and Kagawa could be dangerous. They need someone in the engine room to take control of games and a partner for Rooney though.
Arsenal could be a surprise even if they do lose Van Persie. Wilshere will be back, Podolski should show his class, Oxlade-Chamberlain will play more regularly and Giroud might hit the ground running.
