I just picked the lower end of the figure you quoted. City simply cannot afford to pay one player £20m per year, their revenue is barely high enough to support their wage bill as it is.

why did they even buy him? never got given a real chance considering they splashed 15 mill on him. especially seeing as they've been playing lampard in a deep role, despite not actually being able to tackle.
