"Crap him. Never saves a pen - only ever saved one against Yakubu.

We need better"

Hang your heads in shame men.

He's had stick on here lately, time to praise this man.

Credit where its due he was the hero yesterday shot stopping is his fortay. Well done Tim.

Im not a fan of his as some may know, hes looked really shakey of late, for me hes an ok keeper nothing special. A position i woldnt mind us strengthing.

Tim's boss like.

To be fair to the Howard Bashers, I don't think they've rubbed in any of his recent mistakes. Fair play to them.

I could be wrong though, If they have rubbed it in they are awful, horrid bashers.

Tim will be a legend. Give him time. He may not reach Big Nev's status, but I'm sure he will come close if he stays with us.

I'm over the moon that, after never seeing him save or even go the right way for a pen, he managed to save 2 penalties. Humble pie never tasted so good!

Been a bit strange of late - I've noticed most of the top side's keepers seem to be going through a bad patch at the same time...

Surely just a coincidence (no new balls been introduced or anything), but Cech's having the worst run of his career, Friedel and VD Sar have started haemoragging goals and flapping at crosses with little or no confidence whilst Reina was clearly well off top form against Chelsea last week and the less said about Fabianski the better.

Meanwhile, Gomes can do no wrong all of a sudden and Mark Schwartzer's looking unbeatable.

I've always been a fan of Howard, it's no wonder we've never been able to get a really good back-up keeper - who's going to fancy their chances of displacing Timmy?!...

I rate him alot. I think its true to say that he's been off form recently but hopefully the confidence boost he'll get from the shootout will get him back on track.

Love him, and took the opportunity to bollock my dad about how great he is, since he's been giving him nothing but stick for weeks.

As you all know I am a big fan of him and do feel some people judge him totally different to how they judge other players. Maybe being a keeper that should happen, but I think some of the criticism has been a bit over the top, like blaming the Van-Persie goal on him when Arsenal equalised.

Just like at United it is hard to follow in the footsteps of Schmeichel, who I still feel has not been and probably never will be replaced by anyone better. It will be just as hard at Goodison Park too as Southall was a fantastic goalkeeper, a world class keeper too. Both these keepers earned their reputation over time and the fans, quite rightly too, treat them with legendary reputation. I like Howard a lot, but never will he be as good as Southall.

But I will take Howards record this season over VDS, Almunia, Cech and to some extent Reina too. Your looking at keepers who are playing behind good defences, yet there are still a lot of keeping errors happening. Just as them teams Howard as well is playing behind a solid defence yet I feel he has made far less errors than any of the top four keepers by quite a distance too. Some may dissagree though.

When Howard was signed by United I never saw him and Carrol as a long term future of United. I think taking the move to Everton has helped him regain confidence. Playing regular in goal is very important and really helps your form (which will dip from time to time like any player). I think Tim has found his level outside the top four and has really grown into the number 1 spot, and will only get better with time. I do not think his contribution to the sides success can be ignored either.

I have not seen him play much for the National side, but he is very highly regarded and thought of as a leader and stand out performer. Just wondered what the US guy's thought of him on that front?

I think that He is doing well at the moment is just finding it hard to keep a clean sheet. But to be fair he not the only keeper that is finding this hard.

Keep it up Tim You can help us pick up the cup!!!
