Okay I really didn't wanna do this as I'm probably going to get neg-repped but it would be tearing at me if I didn't do it.

My cousin told me today that his mate's an itk, and this itk told him that IF manure do not offer Michael Owen a new contract then we will swoop for him so-to-speak and be the first to offer him a deal, I have no reason to doubt or seriously believe this as I genuinely do not know this guy personally. My opinion is that it would be a great marquee signing as Owen guarantees goals and if he' started and fit he will get us at least 20 goals. He would give us penetration to our play basically. thoughts?

**** OWEN. Hate him, and when you say "If he is fit" that is a very big if. He will be injured for half the season, and will demand huge wages when he is fit.

He hasn't scored 20 a season since 2003.

Although i'm sure Neiler reckoned he was "nailed on" to score 20 last season :D
 

In order to carry out an attack, we must have means available. The material for raising fire should alway be kept in readiness.

Yes owen guarentees you goals,but he's also guarenteed he will never be injury free! But on a pay as you play basic salary with goal and win bonus he'd be worth a punt!
 
Owen has actually been fit for quite a while at United, he's just not been able to get into the team obviously with Hernandez on fire, Rooney practically undroppable and Berbatov (4th choice behind Owen according to Fergie) was the top scorer in the Prem, so he had a bit of an impossible task.

I don't think fitness would be an issue, or certainly not as much as it is with Saha, and he'll be so hungry for game time it could be a masterstroke wherever he goes after United.

That was two seasons ago mate, personaly i think while he could still do a job at 31 - his injury record and our system is the thing that would make me swerve this, but if it came to pass i wouldnt be going mental.
