I was just comparing the impact of a club like ours going down not the current plight of those other teams. They are back up. And Nott Forest too. So Everton must be the biggest club in the lower division.

Would we potentially have a similar death toll?Harchester united
I cannot think of any English club that has been relegated to lower league is as big as Everton. Whether it means the history, the club size, the fanbase and infrastructure (the new stadium). I would say if Everton are in the Championship, we together create a shocking land-mark history. It’s sad and it will be written into the history book.
Man Utd 1974Aston Villa is the closest I could suggest. Man City would of course be now but not when they were in the past.
Only 1 season down though, I'm confident under Mosh that we can easily better that!Man Utd 1974
Great shout and still not back in the top flight!Hamburg
See I told you not to Google them but I’ve told you the story . The likes of guillit and Rijkaard came through the academy there I think but won stuff elsewhere, is it sounding familiar? That is quite the journey. Last team to win the Eredivisie that don't wear red and white!
It makes you feel positively sick to the stomach, and it's a clear warning to all teams what could actually happen. I'm not sure football with ever learn from these lessons. Bury being an obvious example.See I told you not to Google them but I’ve told you the story . I remember drinking with a Dutch lad who’d grown up with them being his dads side .

Wanted to say them. I can see us being "nearly men" in the Championship for years regardless of an impressive stadium.
Another Everton 'first'...but not one we would wish for!I cannot think of any English club that has been relegated to lower league is as big as Everton. It would be significantly worse than horrible if the worst was to happen, and I hope and pray it doesn’t , there is no option but immediate promotion the consequences of failure are potentially disastrous.I think we'd come straight back up to be fair. Getting relegated would be bad enough but not bouncing straight back up would be horrible
We are a team of ‘firsts’. First three tier stands etc.Another Everton 'first'...but not one we would wish for!
Nothing says it better than "nearly men". But I suppose even teams like Spurs fall in to that category. Especially the year Leicester won the league.Wanted to say them. I can see us being "nearly men" in the Championship for years regardless of an impressive stadium.
