Following the removal of the fun discussion about why it's likely we'll be relegated I had a nice bit of banter about which teams we could end up being like. Espanyol was a great shout and I countered with 1860 Munich. Are there any other clubs we could aim at if this board continue to grind our club in to the dust? Third Lanark AC was my other offering.

Early 2000's Leeds & QPR early 2010s

I cannot think of any English club that has been relegated to lower league is as big as Everton. Whether it means the history, the club size, the fanbase and infrastructure (the new stadium). I would say if Everton are in the Championship, we together create a shocking land-mark history. It’s sad and it will be written into the history book.

Aston Villa is the closest I could suggest. Man City would of course be now but not when they were in the past.

DWS Amsterdam play in blue and white won the league in the 60’s , got relegated merged with a couple of other clubs in the 70’s to form fc Amsterdam . Went bust and our now a non-league time in the 7th tier or something , playing in Wally hall park equivalent.

That is quite the journey. Last team to win the Eredivisie that don't wear red and white!
