About 45 mins,Not a bad walk if it's fine.

There are buses straight to town that leave from opposite the Everton one shop

Delta are ok mate I think, they’re all a bit hit and miss.
but they’re cheap compared to Hackney’s.

On the way back to lime street I would walk along somewhere like Westminster road and order one from a pub or some other landmark that they know.

Pub on County rd best bet.

You can pre book a time and location but as other posters have said you need to walk away from the ground as roads will be congested .
If you manage to flag a black cab , don't forget to cancel the delta taxi .

Maybe walk down Spellow Lane to Walton Road and input the taxi to pick up from from outside the Iceland store opposite the Sir Thomas Frost pub . The driver will usually ring you on approach .
As it's a main road heading into town you just may be lucky enough to flag a black cab down if no joy with Delta
