Takeover rumour

City are a bad example, sorry for that. Im just saying would be lovely to be able to compete.

True mate, but its hard to think of a takeover thats gone well in the last few years to be fair. Dont get me wrong id be made up if we could compete financiaily with the CL teams, but its hard to think of a takeover thats gone according to plan.

This summer will be a more even playing field then ever before i think!

The guy on Bluekipper also said we would sign Utaka, and have just 21,000 tickets (and proven wrong about an hour later) for the final. He knows nothing.

Dom, he does.

He's a good lad, honestly. He's sorted me out for away tickets and travel in the past. One of the best Evertonians I've come across. Comes across a bit mad online but hes sound.

We were after Utaka before he went to Portsmouth. Ever notice the constant digs Moyes tends to give Portsmouth for spending out of their means and "they got their day in the sun with the FA cup but now their struggling".

I wonder why? They offered silly wages.

Moyes:

He told the Sunday Express: "I think what happened at Portsmouth and West Ham in recent times was a danger to football.
"They bought players and gave them big wages. That made it difficult for clubs like Everton because we would try to get similar players but they blew us out with higher wages, far more than Everton could afford.
"It upset the whole market. Now they are backing off and selling players because they paid them higher wages than maybe they should have.
"In truth, the people who went into those clubs are now either one down, or bankrupt, or can't afford to pay the wages.
"Now Portsmouth might say, 'We had our day in the sun. We won the FA Cup and we don't really care'.
"But I think those sort of clubs are the ones which have disrupted the wages in the Premier League."

Would be great to be able to compete with the Sky four on a financial base. Just hope, that if we eventually get that investment, they're not looking for a quick fix. Hope they will put as much trust in Moyes, as Kenwright has. Don't want to become like Newcastle (big club you know:lol:) or Chelsea, who seem to change managers as many times as they change their underwear.

Yea mate I agree, takeovers are normally pretty crap, but would be nice for a while, I mean it kinda worked at Chelsea and years ago it worked at Blackburn when Sir Jack threw all that cash at them.

Clearly we dont want to be like the RS or indeed even Utd and be saddled with huge debts. Or even QPR, the fans there are getting raped cash wise and the team is utter crap.

How good would Messi look in Blue though!(y)

Conga who posted this on Kipper has form for getting stuff like this right. Think he broke the Steve Round news before it was announced.

I really hope so, Dave. I do have a soft spot for Bill, and I am convinced that he does want what's best, but he's got it so wrong with Kirkby.

As soon as it goes tits up, we can finally look at what's been staring us in the face, which is a slow redevelopment of Goodison. We haven't got the £100m for Kirkby anyway, and I can't see one of the financial institutions bankrolling it at the moment. Plus, who wants to blow £100m (and it will be that much in the end) on a pre-fab in fcuking Kirkby? Not me.

Dave that KEIOC badge is a winner . If you placed it on tasteful dark blue t-shirt at chest height I would have one as would thousands of others . Get one made lid .
