Well, they'll be investing in the ground if they buy us. I'm not sure where the love of spending is coming from as it hasn't benefited us one bit. We are in an ffp world, so we will never be spending the amounts that the big clubs spend, unless we significantly bolster our commercial clout.
And who says they won't go cheap on that investment to finish it off? I'm sure there's still time to change how it's built.
It's not a love of spending, it was the intention (poorly spent, which is a different argument). A US consortium isn't going to look at solid investment with an intention. They'll look to boost the "product" first off the field, make themselves profitable, before helping on the field IMO.
The Glazers and FSG bank on the club's global appeal and commercial deals. Chelsea will do the same.
